School Hot Lunch

2018-2019 School Hot Lunch Changes

IMPORTANT- It’s time to start thinking about school lunches

Lunch will continue to be served on Wednesday (Chick-Fil-A) and Friday (Marcos Pizza). At this time we are not adding additional food vendors. Should anything change, we will communicate that information to you. Hot lunch will begin on Wednesday August 29th. Remember, orders for Wednesday’s Chick-Fil-A are due by noon on Mondays and orders for pizza Friday are due by noon on Thursdays (by request of the vendors).  Milk or water will be available starting on the first day of school! Please read below for important changes to the drink orders, purchasing milk/water for your child(ren) has been made easier! If you have questions, or need help placing orders, please stop in the school office during Meet the Teacher or during office hours August 6 – 10.

The following pertains to Grades K thru 8
You now have the option to purchase white/chocolate milk or bottled water for the WHOLE YEAR. This order must be placed prior to August 13th. To order for the year, go to the August 13th calendar box. It will state “173 school days of (your choice @ $86.50)” and you select your choice. Please be specific. If you order chocolate milk, that is what your child must take.  Again, the yearly order has to be placed NO LATER THAN August 13th, as this option will not be available after that date. (Please note that this does NOT include the last 3 days of school in May.)  Another new addition is the option to order your child’s drink by the month. This option will only be offered on the first school day of each month. For example, on September 4th you will see “September (your choice $9.50)”, on October 1st you will see “October (your choice $9.50)”, and so on for each first school day of the month. As always, you will still have the option to order daily. I hope this will make placing orders easier and more convenient for you.  
*Please note: there are no refunds for snow days, days your child is sick, or last minute field trips. I have calculated each month according to the days we are here without interruption. 

ATTN KDG PARENTS ONLY: Kindergartners also have the option to order SNACK milk for the YEAR.  Ordering snack milk is not mandatory, and is separate from the lunch drink order. So, if you are ordering a milk for snack AND lunch, that is two separate orders that need to be placed.  You will find the option to order Snack milk in the August 13th calendar box as well.  Again, SNACK milk can only be ordered for the year and is optional, not required.  Remember: Snack milk can only be ordered by the yearly option on August 13th, and if you do not order milk you will need to send a snack drink with your child.

The following pertains to Preschool 
All Preschoolers, half-day and full-day, have the option to order SNACK milk for the YEAR. The option to order snack milk will only be available during the week of 8/27 -8/31.  If you know your preschooler will want snack milk, please place their order during this time frame.   Ordering snack milk is not mandatory, and is separate from the lunch drink order. So, if you are ordering a milk for snack AND lunch, that is two separate orders that need to be placed. Preschoolers need to only order for the days they are here. For instance, if your preschooler is here M/W/TH then you would order Preschool snack milk for those days only. Yearly pricing reflects the September 4th start date for Preschool.  Again, ordering SNACK milk is for the year and is optional, not required.  Lunch milk for full-day students can be only be ordered by the daily option beginning in September. Remember: Snack milk can only be ordered by the yearly option the week of 8/27 – 8/31, and if you do not order milk you will need to send a snack drink with your child.

The lunch/milk calendar is NOW OPEN for ordering through the end of October.

2018-2019 Lunch Schedule:
Preschool (lunch in room)   11:30 a.m.
Grades K- 4                            11:45 a.m. – 12:10 p.m.
Grades 5-8                              12:15 p.m. –12:35 p.m.

-A nut-free table is available for students with allergies.
-Glass containers are not permitted in the Lunchroom.
-Please note that we cannot heat items brought from home in the Lunchroom
