SJA Clubs

Business Club

The SJA Business Club gathers every Thursday at 3:00pm and gives students a fun, hands-on way to explore the world of business. The main goal is to help members understand basic business concepts by actively participating in real-life projects. Whether it’s running a bake sale, planning a movie night, organizing a fun night, or putting together the school’s wall calendar, students get to apply what they learn in meaningful, practical ways.

One of the highlights of the year is the business plan competition, where members split into two teams and compete to develop the best business idea. It’s a great opportunity to think creatively, work as a team, and practice presenting ideas. Each meeting also includes time to hang out and enjoy each other’s company, which helps make the club a friendly and welcoming place. With its mix of learning, teamwork, and fun, the SJA Business Club offers a lot for students.  SJA Business Club is for students in grades 6-8.

Environmental Club

Environmental club is for grades 5-8 and meets twice a month. We focus on understanding what it truly means to reduce, reuse then recycle and how to practice those in everyday life at home and at school. We also focus on how we impact the environment collectively and individually and reducing our carbon footprint.

Choir

The St. Joan of Arc School Choir is a vibrant, volunteer group open to students in grades 4 through 8 who enjoy singing and making music together. Directed by Mrs. Fletcher, the choir meets once a week during recess or study hall and welcomes all students who want to share their musical talents. Choir members perform a variety of sacred and secular music, lead hymns and liturgical songs during school Masses, and have the opportunity to cantor. In addition to their important role in worship, the choir performs several times throughout the year -including at our Winter and Spring concerts - creating joyful and memorable musical experiences for our school community.

Yearbook

Yearbook club meets one day a week. We as a group decide on a theme for the yearbook and what we would like to see in the yearbook for that year. We try to capture the spirit of the school, including sports, clubs, activities and student accomplishments. The students will gain a few skills while in this club such as writing, leadership, organization, teamwork and perseverance when dealing with deadlines. Yearbook club also preserves memories and creates a valuable memento for the student community.
